Comment Poll: Should I Write More Fiction?

fic·tion
1. the class of literature comprising works of imaginative narration, esp. in prose form.
2. something feigned, invented, or imagined.
3. an imaginary thing or event, postulated for the purposes of argument or explanation.
Problem: my "official" writing career began in the greatest depths of the greatest unravelings of some of the greatest exegeses our species has produced.
Problem: my tendency then, is to steer toward extreme complication because it is through that greater complication that the best things to be learned can best be learned.
Possible solution: write complex things and reduce my already somewhat small (but quite fabulous) audience.
Question: Or should I write more fiction?
Would you fine ladies and gentlemen read something of that sort if it were to come from someone like me? And if so, do you think others would too?

bring on the fiction. You can always ditch it if you find it’s not serving you.
Alternatly, start a second blog for it?
Are you moved to write it? Then your question is answered.
Should you write it on this blog? I wouldn’t. Or I would make it separate from your regular entries.
Write a single short story. Announce it a week ahead of time, so that people won’t confuse it with your regular posts, then post it and see the response. I’d love to hear your hand at fiction.
I take it back! Since that story was in the theme of personal development (e.g. what’s really important), for me it isn’t weird to have it on this blog like I thought it would be.
Write. Always tell it as you see it. Complex does not have to mean obscure or impossible to understand. If you write well, others will read it.
@ Asrai – Will do.
@ Hayden – I’m taking the dive. I’ve got plenty more too.
@ Writer Dad – Oops. Didn’t wait the week, but hey, reactions are good so far. It was stumbled so hard that it’s now the sixth most visited article site wide, which is interesting.
@ Hayden – Love you!
@ Walls – Quite so, as commanded, I will obey, Sir.
