The Mathematics of a Fundraiser on Winter’s Doorstep

The bike trip fundraiser started terrifically. It’s also been completely humbling to see people willing to help me succeed at something that I failed at when I tried to do it alone. For that, I am thankful beyond words.
To keep the success going, I’ve done some math to show everyone how this will succeed.
Here are just three things that you can do as a blogger (and if you’re not a blogger, you can still do them with friends/family who you think might be interested) that will make this dream come true. If we can get the ball rolling on this short list, we can wrap it up in almost exactly three weeks. Bloggers coming together, just three things, just three weeks.
- Try to raise just five dollars
- Try to find just two other bloggers who will commit to this list of three
- Try to do this list in two days
If everyone commits to this list, then after just 22 days, we’ll have raised the full amount and I’ll be off in mid-October with just enough time to make it back before the snow can stop me.
But the list above is easy. If everyone can raise ten dollars through their site, find four other bloggers to aim for this list, or do it faster than two days, I could be gone this month.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has helped me so far. By making me see this is quite possible, you’ve made a huge difference in my life. Thank you…

[...] I’m trying to finish watching the Gundam Wing series (the original one). An ex-boyfriend introduced me to it, 8 years ago, and I’m finally getting a chance to see them. Up to episode 15 so far out of 50. Yes, I am a geek/dork. The last of my bookmooch books went out so I can gear up to donate to I Will Not Die’s Great Dream Catcher. [...]
